Manu Asthana oversees the largest power grid in North America and one of the largest electricity markets in the world. He is responsible for the reliable operations, competitive markets and transmission planning for the organization serving 65 million people in 13 states and the District of Columbia.
Asthana joined PJM in January 2020. Under his leadership, he has implemented significant risk management reforms and established a clear path for defining the grid operator’s role in the energy transition to a cleaner, more efficient grid while maintaining reliable electric service.
Asthana has extensive leadership experience, including 21 years across the electricity industry, including power generation operations, optimization and dispatch, competitive retail electricity, electricity and natural gas trading, and risk management.
Prior to joining PJM, he served as president of Direct Energy Home in North America. He previously led power generation operations and energy trading at Direct Energy, and at the TXU group of companies, where he served as chief risk officer while also leading the energy trading and generation optimization and dispatch area.
Asthana earned a Bachelor of Science in economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Benjamin Franklin Scholar and a Joseph Wharton Scholar. He is active in the community, serving on the board of directors for The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia and the Texas Children’s Hospital Board of Trustees.

Frederick S. “Stu” Bresler oversees all aspects of PJM’s market functions and corporate strategy. His responsibilities cover all of the markets operated by PJM, including those for Capacity, Day-Ahead and Real-Time Energy, Ancillary Services, Financial Transmission Rights, and Demand Response operations.
Bresler is responsible for the continued evolution of PJM’s market design, including the integration of renewable resources and the development of analytics around the performance of those markets. Bresler is also responsible for establishing and maintaining PJM’s forward-looking strategic objectives and initiatives, and driving their progress across the organization. An employee of PJM since 1994, Bresler previously held other leadership and management positions within the Markets Division, as well as engineering positions in the Operations Division.
Bresler started his career at PJM in 1994 as a Professional Engineer supporting System Operations, and he was later responsible for implementing PJM’s Demand Response Program and, ultimately, market design for the RTO. Bresler was key in the development of mechanisms by which PJM’s operations and markets are coordinated with those of surrounding balancing authorities and regional transmission organizations.
Bresler earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and a Master of Management in business administration from The Pennsylvania State University. He is also certified by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).
Bresler is chair of the board of PJM Connext Inc., a PJM subsidiary. He is also chair of the board of APEx (the Association of Power Exchanges), an international organization of electricity and gas market operators. He has been a long-time volunteer for Habitat for Humanity of Chester County, where he served the maximum term on the organization’s board of directors from 2018–2023. Bresler is also on the external advisory board for the Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering in the Penn State College of Earth and Mineral Sciences.
Michael Bryson

Michael Bryson is responsible for PJM’s Operations Division, overseeing 24/7 transmission operations for real-time systems. This includes scheduling, transmission dispatch, generation dispatch, reliability coordination, training and all engineering analysis required to run the system and support the critical energy management systems.
Bryson serves on the board of PJM Technologies Inc. and was formerly on the board of directors of the ReliabilityFirst Corporation. Bryson is a member of the ISO/RTO Operating Committee as well as a past member of the Consortium for Electric Reliability Technology Solutions. Bryson serves on the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) Gas-Electric Alignment for Reliability initiative, also known as GEAR. Bryson is also currently the board chair of The House, a Women’s Outreach in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, and was the former chair of the board of Pope John Paul II High School.
Prior to joining PJM, Bryson held various senior-level positions with DIMAC DIRECT Inc. in St. Louis, including vice president of information services, manager of operations and technical services, and manager of applications development.
Bryson has nearly 10 years of military experience as a pilot. His responsibilities in the United States Army included operations planning and support, supervision and training of pilots and mechanics, and training and maintenance of tactical computer systems. He was awarded the Bronze Star for Combat Service in Desert Storm.
Bryson earned a Bachelor of Science in general engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, focusing on computer science and electrical engineering, and has a Master of Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. Bryson also earned a graduate certificate in power engineering from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Carl F. Coscia, Ph.D., oversees PJM’s risk management operations, including credit risk, enterprise risk management, market surveillance and insurance.
Coscia has more than 20 years of experience in commodity and financial markets, most recently as Global Head of Risk Management for German-based energy company EnBW, where his responsibilities included market risk, enterprise risk, credit risk, compliance and approval for all master trading agreements.
He previously served as Chief Business Officer and Chief Risk Officer for Hartree Partners, LP. He also worked as Vice President of Federal Energy Policy for Constellation Energy, Director of Wholesale Power Fundamentals for TXU Wholesale Power Trading and Branch Chief for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s Office of Enforcement.
Coscia holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Minnesota, as well as a Bachelor of Science in economics and a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from the University of Kansas.
Lisa M. Drauschak

Lisa M. Drauschak is responsible for PJM’s budget and analysis, controllership, financial reporting, payroll, tax records, market settlements, procurement and treasury functions. She oversees the formulation of long-range financial strategies and business plans to achieve PJM’s business goals.
Drauschak has two decades of experience in financial management. Since joining PJM in 1999, she has spearheaded numerous initiatives, including tax strategies, streamlining and managing costs, and led the successful completion of PJM’s SOC 1 audit with no reportable exceptions. She interacts with the Competitive Markets Committee, Risk and Audit Committee, and Finance Committee of the PJM Board of Managers as well as various stakeholder groups at PJM.
Prior to joining PJM, Drauschak worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers and Advanta Financial Services. She holds a Bachelor of Science in accountancy from Villanova University.
Drauschak is active in the community and serves on the board of the Philadelphia Youth Network, which works to create education and employment opportunities for youth and young adults.
Craig Glazer

Craig Glazer coordinates all of PJM's regulatory and legislative policies before Congress, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the United States Department of Energy and other federal agencies. He serves as PJM’s representative to the Executive Committee of the Eastern Interconnection Planning Collaborative and the International Energy Agency and is a peer reviewer of the International Energy Agency’s annual World Energy Outlook.
Prior to joining PJM, Glazer served as commissioner and chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio throughout the 1990s. During this period, Glazer served in a leadership role to facilitate Ohio’s move toward restructuring the state’s telephone, natural gas, transportation and electric industries. He also chaired the state's siting board and served as a member of the governor's cabinet. Glazer also served on the board of directors of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners, chaired its International Relations Committee, and chaired both the Department of Energy’s National Council on Competition in the Electric Industry and the Northeast-Midwest Institute.
Glazer frequently interacts with Congress, the White House, the Department of Energy and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on electricity and natural gas issues, including wholesale market development, reliability and environmental issues affecting the electric industry.
He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the Vanderbilt University School of Law.

Asim Z. Haque oversees Governmental Services, State Policy Solutions and Member Services, which includes Stakeholder Affairs, Client Management, Membership Process & Services, and State & Member Training. He leads PJM’s policy development and interaction with state and federal government, which include state commissions, governor’s offices, state legislatures, state security agencies, and congressional representatives. Haque also oversees PJM’s member interactions, which include the PJM stakeholder process.
Prior to joining PJM, Haque was the chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO). As the state’s chief regulator, he guided Ohio through some of the most relevant energy policy issues facing the nation, including Clean Power Plan compliance, cases related to the future of baseload power plants in competitive markets and distribution grid modernization.
Haque, an attorney, began his career at a large general practice firm and went on to work as in-house counsel at a global auto manufacturer prior to his appointment to the PUCO. He also serves on the board of the Philadelphia Education Fund, which works to create equitable opportunities for all students to succeed in college and career.
Haque holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and political science from Case Western Reserve University and a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
Adam Keech

Adam Keech oversees the design of all of the wholesale markets operated by PJM and the development of large-scale advanced analyses such as those done for carbon pricing and renewable integration. He is also responsible for the applied innovation area that focuses on evaluating, leveraging and supporting the implementation of advanced solutions in the planning, markets and operations areas. Keech has worked for PJM since 2003 and held senior leadership roles in both the Market Services and System Operations divisions.
Keech earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Rutgers University and earned a Master of Science in applied statistics from West Chester University.

Aftab Khan oversees all aspects of PJM’s grid operations, transmission planning, cybersecurity, physical security and business continuity efforts.
Khan previously served as Senior Vice President of Engineering with Eversource Energy, the utility serving four million customers in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire, where he led an engineering organization of over 1,000 people focused on transmission and distribution system planning, asset management, engineering, grid modernization, operations technology, control room support and vegetation management.
He also previously worked with GE providing oversight to Grid Solutions in North America. Prior to that, Khan spent 24 years with ABB in a variety of roles, including Senior Vice President – Power Transformers, North America; President – Power Systems Division, Saudi Arabia; and Senior Vice President – Grid Systems, North America.
Khan holds an MBA in operations and finance from Carnegie Mellon University; a master’s degree in electric power engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Alaska.
Steven McElwee, Ph.D.

Steven McElwee oversees PJM’s cybersecurity and physical security functions, as well as business continuity, facilities, and identity and access management. His responsibilities include cyberthreat and risk analysis, security policy development and governance, vulnerability management, security monitoring and response, cyber forensics, security assessments and IT operations monitoring.
McElwee has over 30 years of technology and leadership experience in a variety of industries. He joined PJM in 2008 and has held multiple security and NERC CIP compliance leadership roles.
McElwee earned a Bachelor of Arts in computer science from Thomas Edison State College (now Thomas Edison State University), a Master of Business Administration from Alvernia University, a Master of Science in computer information systems from Boston University and a Ph.D. in information assurance from Nova Southeastern University.
Paul F. McGlynn

Paul F. McGlynn is responsible for activities related to resource adequacy, generation interconnection, interregional planning and transmission planning, including the development of the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan.
Previously, McGlynn was executive director of System Operations, ensuring the secure, reliable, economic and coordinated operation of the PJM system, including PJM’s real-time dispatch operations and near-term reliability studies. McGlynn began his career at PJM in 2007 in the Planning Division and has experience managing transmission planning, having also served as senior director of System Planning.
Prior to joining PJM, McGlynn held various positions in engineering and operations at PECO, an Exelon company. He earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Drexel University.
McGlynn is a registered professional engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is a senior member of the IEEE.
Thomas F. O'Brien

Thomas F. O’Brien is responsible for all activities related to PJM’s Information Technology Services Division and its enterprise information security. He sits on the board of PJM Connext, a subsidiary of PJM.
O’Brien is chair of the Eastern Interconnect Data Sharing Network. He also serves on the boards of Mary’s Shelter, the Utility Employees Credit Union and the Management Executive Council under the auspices of the Electricity Information Sharing and Analysis Center (E-ISAC).
O’Brien is an energy professional with more than 30 years of broad experience in all aspects of the electricity industry. Previously, O’Brien was employed by GPU Energy and FirstEnergy Solutions, leading and participating in deregulation, energy trading and system operations activities.
O’Brien earned his Bachelor of Arts in mathematics with a concentration in computer science from Shippensburg University and a Master of Business Administration from LaSalle University. He completed a certificate program in advanced computer security through the Stanford Center for Professional Development.
Christopher O’Hara

Christopher O’Hara is responsible for PJM’s legal operations, including all of the company’s regulatory, litigation and commercial needs. He provides legal counsel and strategic advice to PJM’s Senior Management Team and assists in the creation of legal and regulatory strategies, as well as the execution of the regional transmission organization’s objectives. O’Hara additionally serves as counsel and secretary to PJM’s independent Board of Managers and sits on the board of PJM Technologies Inc., a PJM subsidiary.
Before joining PJM in 2017, O’Hara worked for twelve years for NRG Energy serving as its chief compliance officer and as the general counsel of various businesses/regions, while also leading the corporation law department on an interim basis. O’Hara also had extensive private law firm experience in the energy field. He has represented a diverse spectrum of energy sector clients, including municipalities, cooperatives, industrials and other market participants, in all aspects of their businesses.
O’Hara has served on the board of the North American Energy Standards Board and is admitted to the practice of law in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Texas.
O’Hara received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland.
Ricardo Rodriguez

Ricardo Rodriguez is responsible for managing PJM’s Internal Audit Department, which reports to the CEO and to the Audit Committee of the PJM Board of Managers. He is responsible for conducting companywide business risk analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of business processes and operating controls at PJM.
Rodriguez is an experienced audit professional with over 20 years of experience in the energy, pharmaceutical and financial industries in the areas of finance, regulatory compliance, information security, operations and information systems.
Rodriguez previously worked for NRG Energy, GlaxoSmithKline, the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, ING Financials, and the Securities and Exchange Commission. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master of Science in engineering from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Nora Swimm

Nora Swimm has responsibility for all corporate business support services. In her role, Swimm oversees business planning, client services, corporate communications and human resources. She is also responsible for PJM’s multiyear data and analytics program capabilities. In addition, Swimm has been instrumental in implementing and overseeing diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives for the organization.
Having joined PJM in May 2001, Swimm was responsible for PJM’s information services activities, including the creation of information architecture and infrastructure, as well as the development of new internet-based applications as PJM markets expanded.
Swimm is on the board of the American Association of People with Disabilities and Philabundance, the largest hunger relief organization in the Philadelphia region. She is also a member of the Quebec Trade Advisory Council.
Prior to joining PJM, Swimm held management positions in information technology at General Electric Aerospace, where she supported the manufacturing and finance divisions for spacecraft operations. At Merck & Co., Inc., she supported the sales and marketing divisions for U.S. Human Health.
Swimm earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Villanova University with minors in business administration and mathematics, and an Executive Master of Business Administration from Villanova University. She is a graduate of the Chief Human Resources Officer Program at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She was also inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society.
